Haruka Kujō (九条 悠 Kujō Haruka) is a 11-year-old American university graduate, who befriends Akira Nikaidō. He wore an earring on his right ear which he constantly touches. He is rich and lives in a huge mansion. He is the successor to the Kujo family, known for its daemonic experiments using traditional techniques of yin and yang. His parents, brother and grand father died when he was 3 years old. To atone for his ancestors' sins, Haruka volunteers to fight the Kokuchi alongside Akira, despite him not being able to physically fight them but later in the anime, his real identity was revealed. He uses a crossbow specifically design to eliminate Kokuchis. Haruka was created specifically for the anime and does not appear in the manga.
Appearance[]
Haruka is 11 years old with grey hair and blue eyes. He uses a crossbow to defeat Kokuchi. He wears a gold earring on his right ear. He is featured only in the anime. He's usually seen in a brown suit with a red tie, knee socks, and dark brown dress shoes.
Personality[]
Haruka is a very shy person and typically gets picked on by others. He doesn't have many friends because he doesn't go to school anymore. His life goal is to clear his family's name that was soiled when his mother, father, and brother were killed in an accident (believed to be a car accident considering in the anime he said that they got into "a wreck" which is typically a way of saying a car accident). His favorite drink is tea, and his favorite food is strawberry cake. He is always trying to get into the action, fighting Kokuchi but Akira Nikaidō always stops him by saying that it's too dangerous or "You're too young."
Background[]
Haruka is an 11 year old American University graduate who studies poisonous plants/devil worship and he is the current head of the Kujou Family where helps Akira Nikaidō in hopes that he can clear his stained family name after an accident where his parents and brother were killed. When Shirogane was kidnapped by Nanaya, Haruka begged Akira to help in his rescue claiming his family had several weapons but Akira turned his down saying it was too dangerous. Haruka didn't listen and went into action, Nanaya, just about to kill Shirogane, and Akira without enough time to save him, Haruka fired 3 bolts from his crossbow into Nanaya's back, killing him. He then apologized to Akira for not listening. Later when Akira, Shirogane, Kengo, Aya, and Haruka go to find Kou to ask him to join the team, he flirts with Haruka saying "It's much too dangerous for little boys like you here, let onii-chan take you home."
